Abstract

The report we propose here, aims to have a survey of data that in addition to information about the welfare or mistreatment of dogs, has solutions to these problems flagged, and awareness to pet guardians. This started with research through questionnaires and home visits as an extensive and integrative part of the project, in order to verify the percentage of knowledge of the guardians about basic health conditions, food, leisure and welfare of these dogs in Inhumas and neighboring cities. Based on the research, it was found that most of these guardians keep their dogs with minimal maintenance in their environments, and that there is a lack of awareness about everything that involves the welfare of these animals. Despite this, our visits to the homes and the questions asked were well accepted, and it was considered a very useful service, especially for the guardians who always try to give a better quality of life to their dogs according
