Abstract

This article addresses domestic violence against women in Patos, Paraíba, Brazil, highlighting its severity and its impacts on public health. A study analyzed DataSUS records from 2022 to 2024, revealing a 30% increase in femicide cases in the state. Domestic violence is a multifaceted problem that requires regional cooperation between authorities and society. Public policies, such as the Women's Care Reference Center (CRAM) and awareness campaigns, are important, but there is still underreporting of cases. It is recommended to strengthen protection and education policies, awareness efforts, as well as provide psychological and legal support to victims.
