PACIENTES PORTADORES DE DIABETES MELLITUS TIPO 1 E O USO DO MOBILE HEALTH

Abstract

Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) is e of the most prevalent chronic diseases in children and adolescents, caused by the destruction of pancreatic beta cells. The aim of this article was to identify health promotion in T1DM patients through Mobile Health. A literature review was conducted using the Google Scholar platform in May 2024, from which five articles were selected to reference this work. The existing evidence found discusses the use of applications aimed at the self-management of T1DM and their impacts on patient health. It can be concluded that the benefits of using Mobile Health are well established in scientific publications, being an accurate tool that contributes to T1DM control. Therefore, it is suggested that further research and exploration of the topic be conducted to identify the accessibility of this resource for patients with T1DM.
