JURIDICAL PSYCHOLOGY IN CONTEMPORANEITY: CONTRIBUTIONS AND CHALLENGES

Abstract

The theme of this text refers to the contributions and contemporary challenges of Legal Psychology. To this end, bibliographical research was carried out, which investigated authors such as: Dalgalarrondo (2019); Fiorelli and Mangini (2021); Meleiro and Almeida (2003); Pinheiro (2022); Rovinski (2007a; 2007b); between others. In the development, emerging and relevant themes were discussed, this area of activity of Psychology professionals, such as: 1) Historical Path of Legal Psychology; 2) Changes in Conscience and Criminal Imputability; 3) Violence and Legislation; 4) Perception and Memory of the Testimony; 5) Simulation and Dissimulation; 6) Parental Alienation. Finally, it was concluded that for there to be ethical action and committed to the development of Legal Psychology, there must be continued training, but also recognition of the relevance of Psychology, as a science and profession.
