A IMPORTÂNCIA DO CUIDADO PALIATIVO PARA O PACIENTE ONCOLÓGICO EM PROCESSO DE FINITUDE

The patient, diagnosed with cancer, is faced with several issues such as symptoms, treatment, statistics, possibility of cure, or the advance of the illness, resulting in death. In cases of patients in the finitude process, the most indicated and considered to be a better life quality for the patient, are the palliative cares. Yet, this process of the ending of life triggers out physical
sufferings, emotional, familiar, social and spiritual. This study aims emphasize the importance of the palliative in the hospital environment, besides the understanding how this work is fulfilled with the patient and it’s beings. This article is a bibliographic research, in which data were collected through online access on Google Scholar, SciELO and PEPSIC platforms. Through this study it was found that the cancer patient goes through several moments of
psychological/emotional suffering and therefore the importance of palliative care for cancer patients who are experiencing the process of finitude.
